Saint Elizabeth High School provides many academic support services for all students, including:
  • The Learning Center
  • After-School Tutoring
  • Special Needs Services (including IEP and 504 Plans)
  • Student Success Teams

The learning Center

St. Elizabeth High School provides students with the opportunity to work directly with their teachers before school and after school during Learning Center. Teachers are available to students during Learning Center times. Students can get clarification about assignments or extra assistance during these times, but in a smaller environment, and they often work one-to-one with teachers. Teachers from Humanities classes and STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) classes are available Monday through Thursday from 3:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M.

After-school tutoring

St. Elizabeth High School has tutoring services available after school Monday through Thursday from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. Students can work independently, use computer resources, or work with tutors. Several tutors staff the tutoring center, and they are capable of assisting students in Humanities and STEM subjects. The staff in the tutoring center work to ensure student success by closely monitoring student progress.

Special Needs SERVICES

To assist students with special needs, St. Elizabeth High School has implemented a program with some of our classes. A trained Resource Specialist assists students in class or works with students in a small group setting on class work or projects.
Students with IEPs and 504 Plans – if students have Individualized Learning Plans or 504 Plans, St. Elizabeth High School assists parents to update the plans and goals.

STUDENT Success Teams

St. Elizabeth High School has a Student Success Team which meets as necessary to address student concerns brought up by parents or teachers regarding academic or behavioral issues. The Student Success Team works with staff and parents to develop an action plan that includes supports to address the needs of the student.

Some St. Elizabeth High School may need accommodations for College Board tests such as Advance Placement, SAT, and ACT. Our Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Coordinator works with the College Board and parents to ensure necessary accommodations are available to any student who needs them.
