Freshman Admission Process and Dates

1. Submit Application

The application fee is $75
The priority application deadline is January 7

If you are seeking admission as a freshman after the priority date please contact the Admissions Director for information, Mrs. Ana Hernandez-Cortez, at 510-532-8947 ext. 221 or ahernandez@stliz-hs.org.

2. Take High School Placement Test

The placement test is offered here at St. Elizabeth on Saturday, January 7, at 8:30 a.m. When completing the online application you will have the opportunity to indicate the school at which you plan to take the test.

3. Submit a copy of the Transcript & Teacher Recommendation Forms

These supplemental forms are available with the online application, and should be submitted by the applicant to their current school, but must be sent directly from current teacher/school. The admissions office should receive forms by January 25. Download forms.

4. Attend a Parent / Student Interview

Families will receive a letter indicating the time of their interview. Interviews are for parent(s) and student and are approximately 20 minutes long. It is important that you are available to attend the interview. The date for the interview is January 25.

5. If desired, apply for Flexible Tuition

Families who feel they are unable to pay the full tuition can apply for the Flexible Tuition. Two confidential application forms, one from PSAS and a supplemental one from S.E.H., are required to be submitted directly to Saint Elizabeth High School. A $24.00 check or money order made out to Private School Aid Service MUST be submitted with the application. In addition, families are required to provide a copy of their 2010 or 2011 federal income tax form with all appropriate schedules as well as copies of their 2010 or 2010 W-2’s and 1099s. New families MUST submit their Flexible Tuition application forms by February 1.

DECISION LETTERS WILL BE MAILED BY FRIDAY, MARCH 17, 2012

  • Satisfactory grades from prior two years
  • Recommendation of teachers and principal
  • Interview with parent and student
  • An ability to successfully complete the available curriculum
  • Proven record of good citizenship, effort, and attendance
