"Teachers provide instruction in the original sense of the term, that is, they make a substantial contribution to building the personality; they educate in the sense of the ancient Socratic image, helping students to discover and to make use of the skills and gifts of each one... You have been called to teach. This is a vocation, a Christian vocation... There at your teacher's chair and desk, God has called you by name to an indispensable service to the truth."
-- POPE JOHN PAUL II

St Liz has as much spirit as any school at which I have taught. Plus, it has a great Principal and wonderful staff with whom I work. Also, the Fruitvale area has been a part of my life for many years. It is home.

St. Elizabeth is a warm and loving community where students, faculty, and staff support each other so that everyone can succeed. I've never received so many hugs and high fives in my life!

"As we attempt, in the ministry of Christian education, to represent Christ in service to the community, it is a ministry of the Word and of incarnating that Word. The substance of our teaching act consists of a threefold responsibility: To make present the Story, To propose its Vision, To choose life in the present."
--Thomas Groome
